A Eulogy for Bella
With having a Wiccan service the person leading it tells her life story from birth through to death. I did get to pick the music and give the ok for the bookmarks and arrange quite a bit of the funeral. I sort of missed writing a eulogy for her. So here goes
Bella was a lot of things to a lot of people, she was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a good friend to anyone who wanted advice on trans issues, and finally, she was a lover. One that made me appreciate every day. We were immensely close as a couple but her untimely death illuminated a side I had never seen before with her.
Although she had been through Facial Feminisation Surgery, and Gender Reassignment Surgery, These had all been in very quick time since she transitioned. If I am not mistaken the referral for surgery was only just two years old.
After the police and paramedics had done their thing and let me have 5 minutes with her before they took her way. I had delivered the devastating news to her mother, which is one of the phone calls I would never like to make again.
I noticed her laptop lid was open and still in a bit of a haze over what had happened, I started to browse her tweets, lots were hoping it wasn’t real so I had to tell them that it was. I had an urge to read her direct messages on twitter. I was amazed at what I saw.
