Big Pharma and the Trans Industry

A claim often made by the gender-critical people is that making people trans, which is impossible as you either are or are not, is that the big pharmaceutical companies are making huge sums of money from them. So it is beneficial for them to see more and more people transition and take hormones because according to them it makes them millions and millions of dollars a year.

This is an outright lie, it is a conspiracy theory aimed at the general public who generally support the trans community. Because their thinking is if they can get them to believe that millions of pounds of NHS money is being spent on treating trans people it will bring them over to their side.

To show this is a lie I will use myself as an example, I transitioned at 24 which is close to the age a lot of the younger trans people transition. Because there may well be 4,000 referrals a year to the Tavistock Clinic to treat young trans people the yearly average of those who get medical treatment is only about 55. So most wait till they are in their 20’s to transition.

At the age of 24, after having seen 3 different psychiatrists who all agreed that I was trans I was prescribed two medications.
