Bipolar Anorexia & Me

I have been inspired to write this blog after watching a selection of video’s on Laura Nuttall’s YouTube channel (which you can watch here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA5ugRUbYWzSl1opVCZ5k-A). Where she talks about her eating disorder has interacted with her diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder, now for me, I found them fascinating, for two reasons. The first I am always curious about other people’s experience’s, I have always been intrigued by other people and what makes them who they are. The second reason I find them interesting is how, for her, the two conditions interact and how that manifests as a whole. Being able to compare the similarities and yet in some cases stark differences in how two sorts of similar diagnoses’ affect daily life. In how bipolar disorder and an eating disorder goes one way and schizoaffective disorder and eating disorder goes another way.

So spurred on by her video’s I thought I would sit and write a bit about how my two conditions interact and how they impact on my life as a whole, which while I have written about my eating disorder a few times is not something I have put out there other than in little bits how much of an impact the two have had on daily life. This blog will sort of being split into a few posts as it’s quite a lot of information, the first will be looking at how the different mood states interact with the eating disorder and then the second section…
