My journey through writing

I never really used to be a big writer in a personal setting, at university I would be writing lots and then when I was giving legal advice I would be drafting and then corresponding with people. For me, I associated both reading and writing with work, so when it came to my free time those were two things that I would never do because they felt like I was doing more work.

Then I made my second Twitter account, one that would not be easily related to my main account. The one that gave me the freedom to be able to talk my mind and not have to censor it; I had new freedom where I could talk about any subject I wanted to without having to watch how I said things.

So I started to follow more and more people I was building a list of people who I had something in common with it became a very eclectic mix of people but it gave me a place and a set of people who I could talk to openly about what we had in common with without fear of judgment. Rather than my other account which was mostly political people and legal people, so was a different place from the alternative account I had started.

One thing I noticed with this new account was the sizable amount of people who had a blog they used to talk about things. I decided that I would give it a go and see what happened, so I signed up for a site and decided to write something. This new account gave me more…
