Primary health care services

In the past 16 months, it has been remarkable to see how the NHS has adapted very quickly to treat those who caught covid-19 and to protect others from catching it has been amazing. As last year progressed it was understandable at the changes that happened to the way we were accessing health care, especially primary services like GP’s. Using the telephone or video calls was how things were done and understandably so.

The whole NHS was doing things differently to cope with the situation and to protect people as well as they possibly could. I saw first-hand how they were doing things to make sure patients were kept as safe as possible and I have nothing but praise and admiration for them all and how they have dealt with this unprecedented situation.

Patient safety was front and centre doing all they could to prevent the virus from spreading. Then along came the vaccination, the way to protect people and to hopefully ensure that we could return to some situation that was like it was before.

The versatility shown in not only keeping as much of the normal NHS surceases running but now also delivering the vaccination to all the adults to see happen was remarkable.
