Updating things for the inquest
Because of Bella’s age and the circumstances surrounding her death, the law says there has to be an inquest into what happened. Now we had not heard anything on this front in a while so I sent an email asking if they had any idea when it might be, and explained that I knew about the backlog of cases in the legal system. The coroner’s secretary was very prompt in her response and told me that at the moment there is no date for it and that there is a backlog of cases.
I did ask if some medical documents that I had submitted were in the evidence that would be presented to the coroner as last time I asked I got no response. But this time I did and I was told that all the information I had provided has been put for consideration. So I was happy knowing this as the idea that I have about what happened is based around this and would explain what happened and why it did.
Asking this I knew then that there would have to be some more information presented to them so that this would be considered as a possibility. This would mean that I would have to be open and honest about certain events that I have been through and how they related to what happened and the path things then went.
Now talking about these things on my blog is one thing, but putting them down as legal evidence to be presented in a court felt totally strange and very personal to do…
